Overall it was fantastic so I just wanted to share a few notes. - Events: When they were on, they were fantastic. The lolita quiz, though something I'm not really into, was brilliant thanks to the presenter (was it Missiechan?) The only problem I found was that some of them ended a little earlier than expected and left an hour or 2 open where there wasn't much for us to do but hang out in the bar area. - Staff: Great. I was one of the noobs who forgot his ID, but not any of the staff made me feel agitated. I was talked to in a curteous manner and with dignity, so I had no qualms or bitter feelings. - J-Pop disco. Not what I expected. A little dissapointed. I think having it on the same time as the Hentai panel drew a lot of poeple away. Maybe have the Hentai panel a little earlier? I know you wanna keep the kiddies away but if you run the same policy nxt year ID wise, you won't have any issues with underagers - Auction, yeah yeah ran on too long etc, but I was fine with that. What I would suggest is that you put like a 5 cap on each bid to stop silly bids that are a euro extra. That way its 40, 45, 50 and keeps it neat and clean. - Games room staff and coordinators. You kick ass. That was one hell of a games room. - Tradehall. Open and airy. Selection of items top notch. Talking to Beez guy, really nice. Fantastic trades! - My final peice would be to see some more references to more obscure animation, in quizes and stuff. My favourite studio is Shaft but minus a few episodes of Bakemonogatari and Arakawa, there wasn't much or the less mainstream animations. I understand you have to cater for everyone, but I think it would be nice to encourage some of the kids to branch out a little. Actually 1 more. Keep the noisy kids away from the entrance of the screening room. I was enjoying Evenagelion but the odd time you'd hear random teens screming in the hall. Shinji Emo Dialouges and teens screaming dont really mix Anyways enough of my rants. I had a great time and I really appreciated the hardwork everyone put in to making this epic nom con! I will certainly be there next year

I couldn't think of alot of things that were'nt amazing but I believe somealready made htis point but things like the giant twister that needs lots people could have been put on later in the day when the numbers did get in. and seeing as its such a close contact interaction game alotta people would be shy on the first day to play it comming in the first 5 minutes of being there.
Also would like to see some cheesey 80's/90's crap on the kareoke next year for the lolz so everyone can join in. maybe get a few people dancing like when Drew sang Naruto's Fighting Dreamers

This here list is very thorough and makes some very good points, so I'll address them thusly: Overall it was fantastic so I just wanted to share a few notes. - Events: When they were on, they were fantastic. Shinji Emo Dialouges and teens screaming dont really mix Anyways enough of my rants. I had a great time and I really appreciated the hardwork everyone put in to making this epic nom con! I will certainly be there next year * Thank you, that was me who presented Lolier than Thou, after I fired poor Koshi-chan and then heckled him from the stage. I'm glad you enjoyed it. As for the hours being open with nothing to do, I'd like to think we planned lulls in the day so that the attendees could eat or get changed as they needed to, not to mention our staff. It's a bit tricky to plan an event to go on for EXACTLY an hour so quibbles in the timing happen. I think over the whole weekend I sat down and ate during the day for approx half an hour. * As staff, I'm delighted to hear you think the staff did a good job and the people we had over the weekend really did go above and beyond. However, they wouldn't have been so pleasant if the attendees hadn't been an equally lovely bunch of people. We had very little trouble overall, people picked up their rubbish when asked and moved from rooms when I asked them to and even helped me put out chairs when they didn't have to. They made the con great. * Sorry about the disco, that was my bad. I was a bit slow to get it going and I was exhausted from the 8am start. Once Ryan came in to take over he apparently got everyone going and did a much better job, so next year I'll leave it in his capable hands. * Auctions take bloody ages. I've never been to a con where they didn't run over the time. We'll try to speed it up for next year, but it still might run for months. * Thank Sorcha for the games room. She looked like a zombie on Monday, poor sausage. * I barely got to see the trade hall. I didn't get to spend any money * The noisy kids were noisy everywhere. We did our best to keep them calm, but that's like putting a lid over a running tap. Next year we might try to have the screening rooms far away enough to stop that kind of thing. Next year, we hope to have things moving much more smoothly. Thanks for the feedback!

I've got only one piece of feedback that I'mgonna put up publicly anything else I'll tell y'all in person at some point.. DON'T USE WIKIPEDIA FOR YOUR PUB QUIZ INFO. There is a reason that colleges give a zero when it is used as a reference. That would be my fault since I wrote the pub quiz Which questions in particular did you not like? I know I had some people who had issues about the PS3 year release question I had up, which I'm very sorry about. My answer was definitely wrong, and I'm very sorry about that, but some people were a little rude and aggressive about it One team (I won't say who) wrote something awful and judgemental about me on their answer sheet for one of the questions I put up. So if anyone has a problem with any of the questions we have up in future, please don't heckle me, pass rude comments or write something nasty about me on your answer sheet. Come up to me and talk to me in a civil manner. I'm only one person who wrote and designed that entire quiz alone along with all my other con duties. Next year I promise to research my questions properly and double check everything, so thank you Darren for your constructive criticism. I really appreciate it

The Maid Cafe - this was really really nice, but I've one small suggestion. If you get the little ladybug/ladybird cakes again is it possible to get a less rich version? They were absolutely adorable, but they were so rich I could only manage half of mine and it still made me feel ill. Hmmm, I was wondering there was a poster who was going to sell cupcakes at the con, but was unable to due to the hotel saying no. Maybe next year the Maid Cafe could sell them instead? Yes next year we'll look into giving a nice variety. I kinda thought the same about the ladybird cakes. Think they were a kind of truffle. o.o The cupcake issue was probably the only bad issue we had with the hotel in all this (hotel was amazing to us) and apologies to the girl who was selling them. Really wanted to try them. =( Anyway with about a week to go before the con the hotel suddenly told us they didn't like the idea of us selling food and almost had us cancel the maid cafe. Apparently they were nervous about it because they weren't managing the food and if anybody got ill the HSC would come down on the hotel like a ton of bricks which is kinda understandable. I mean would you run an event if you though it might get you closed down? In the end though we managed to get the hotel to give us the green light on the maid cafe because our baker was certified by the HSC Sinead wanted to bake a load of cakes herself for the cafe but as she's not certified we had to drop them. We spent a lot of thought trying to think of ways to allow the cupakes in but sadly no joy there =(

Which questions in particular did you not like? The only real thing I had a problem with in relation to the pub quiz was the trap or no trap round. If that round turns up again on the pub quiz next year, can we please keep real people out of that? I guess it's okay when it's a fictional character, but it's really insensitive and downright nasty to refer to someone like Isis from America's Next Top Model as being male. There's a big difference between a transvestite and someone who actually has a medical condition such as Gender Dysphoria or GID.

M'yeah, Sinéad (Missiechan) was telling me that some girls had a few issues with that round. Instead of getting into the technicalities of it, I'm just going to agree with you. A man or a woman has the right to be whatever gender they believe they should be, and I respect that. It was never my intention to offend anyone so I apologise if I've hurt you, your friends or anyone you know in any way. That round will be removed completely and replaced with something nicer for next year

The only one I can really remember is the ps3 one as when I went up asnd mentioned it to someone(not gonna mention names they know who they are) they were a lil rude to me about it and shrugged me off over wikipedia's answer to the question.
Overall it really was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see how next years one turns out.

Overall it really was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see how next years one turns out. Again, that probably would've been me. I'm very sorry if I came across as rude. We were a bit stressed about collecting answers and to be honest, I already had people heckle me and pass a few rude comments as I walked passed, so I was a bit freaked out :/ So again, I'm truly very sorry, usually I'm very courteous so I'm a bit ashamed for my behaviour. I hope you can forgive me I'll do my best for next year's quiz

Most of us have no real experience in public speaking, but I think we got some decent practice over the course of the weekend ;D

Actually, I should cop the blame for that because it was my decision to have Isis in that round. The whole 'trap or no trap' thing was an idea that we thought was great in theory, but difficult to put together. Isis just occurred to me because I remembered how controversial it was on the show so I put that in without really thinking it through. And the thing is, I have transgendered friends so I should really know better. So could we chalk that up to an idiot move on my part and accept my apology? I didn't mean any disrespect, Isis was and is one of my favourite contestants. Also, if you were one of the girls who came up to me to talk about that at the quiz, I'm sorry if i was a bit short with you. We were desperate to finish and get some sleep at that stage.

First off I want to say that I had such a great time at Nom Con and in Ireland as a whole. First time in your beautiful country and it was amazing! Ok, now for the Constructive Crit: Registration Signs? When myself and my friend arrived at the hotel we were not sure where Registration was being held. Could have been fault on our part, but we checked the Nom Con website and Schedule but couldn't find it. Maybe next year have signs pointing to where Registration is? Also, while I am on the subject, I know this has been mentioned before but perhaps have signs saying which line was for Pre Reg or Pay at the Door (as I know a few people around me were rather confused which one was which.) Team Giblets PannelVery interesting and an awesome pannel! ;D But it was sometimes a bit difficult to hear what they were saying due to the games room behind us being very loud. Possibly use a different room next time? Pub QuizMyself and others felt this went on for a bit too long. Not saying it wasn't fun, it was lots of fun! But as it was late I noticed a number of people struggling to stay awake when it came to Round 9. Please keep the pub quiz but make it a little bit shorter? Closing CeremonyI pretty much echo what has been said before that it went on for a bit too long. Also maybe show the photos on the large screen during the time the staff set up from the Skits to the Auction. Even though it was brilliant to see the photos, I found it wasn't fair on the person on stage whom the audience were being distracted from. And now the good stuff ;D The Nom Con staff first and foremost were very, very helpful and friendly. I cannot stress this enough. I've been to cons where the staff were less than helpful but I am proud to say that Nom Con staff were brilliant. Thank you so much for all the hard work you guys put into it!! Events were broad, interesting and very fun Musical chairs was especially as I have never seen that at another convention before. Location for Nom Con was perfect due to the Pub, store, cash machine, number of hotels around etc. John Swasey was a ledgend and Andrew from Beez was very informative too. Thank you for inviting them! So, in summery: Nom Con was EPIC. Very glad I came and looking forward to next year Keep up the good work!
