Hmmm... I'd try Jane Norman. Though prepare to go broke. Theres a shop near the courthouse that has nice stuff too, but I can't remember it's name >.<

I got a nice frock for a wedding in Next, and Marks and Spencers usually has a few nice bits too. There's Monsoon and Topshop, and if you go to Retro in the George's Street arcade they have lovely fifties style dresses and usually on sale.

You don't have to move here hon, just take a shopping day to find what you need. I don't know what shops are in Dundalk so I can only recommend Dublin or online shopping. Have you tried eBay? And Asos.com has some lovely little dresses, although a lot of them seem to be too short to be formal wear.

Ah i know xD but my mum be's giving out about having to go back and forward and we dont really know our way around dublin to well , and i asked if we could get the 8am/9am bus and come home at like 7 pm or when the last bus is but she wont let us so thats why we get lost and dont get what we need. my sister will not use ebay anymore because of the paypal so i cant get anything of ebay. but i will try to see what Asos.com has am very small so i dont think the dresses will be that short on myself xD

Hell, if you don't know Dublin that well to shop in it I can offer myself as a guide. Anything to help a cosplayer in need.
There's really only one area you need to know in order to get decent formal wear: Henry Street. It's got Forever 21 in the Ilac Centre, A-Wear, Debenhams, H&M, Marks&Spencer's and a few small specialist boutiques. 2 hours should be all you need to get anything.

Not a problem. You're the next generation of anime fandom, you need to be encouraged by old timers like me.
