Artist Alley will not be open until May.
Yes it is the return of the fantablous, supendous, Artist Alley! This is a place where you can sell your creations to the attendees at Nom-con, chat with fellow artists and in general have fun!
Some rules to be aware of;
- Everything sold in this section must be made by yourself. Whether it be prints, bookmarks or creatively done socks, it can be sold! Anything else, such as Anime DVDs for example, must be sold at the Bring&Buy. - Everybody likes to see original art! I ask that you do not sell prints/etc that belong to others, nor sell things that are clearly traced from other images. - Please be sensible about what you sell; you're selling to a crowd of attendees at an anime convention, keep this in mind. - There will be in relative, a table per person so please don't bring too much. - When Artist Alley does open, it is first come first serve, so don't leave it too late to register!

Question: my frend might be interested but at a previous con, when she entered the artist ally she was allowed to bring a iPod and speakers at the table, so will you be allowed to bring your iPod and speakers and play music at your table???

Sorry but I think it's a no-go for the music, as it might disturb other artist and traders around them, but they're more than welcome to listen to it with headphones. I'll bring it up at our next meeting though!

I'll be a gopher at the con (most likely); does that mean I can't sell stuff at the AA, or...? It sounds very tempting to sell stuff, but so does being a gopher, so... yeah. ^-^

Would you be allowed to sell fan art? Or OCs only?

Would you be allowed to sell fan art? Or OCs only? You can sell both. But it is an anime convention - people will most likely prefer to buy fanart than characters they don't know. Last year, there was a wide variety of fanart, OCs, art goodies (painted shoes, bookmarks, hairclips, keychains, portrait of you anime-style!), commissions being taken....anything to do with art!

Hey Draco, I'll have to get back to you on that. Most likely you'll have to choose between the two unless you can find someone to man your stand during the convention when you're working as it's hard to be in two place at once as physics will tell you. : ) Also at Zabbs, anything at all can be sold, just as long as it's anime related.

Another question, about my friend (again!) who is actually very intrested, she was wondering (she doesnt have an account on this forum so I have to ask all her questions >.<) if she would be able to sell Yaoi that she drew, @ the con. Obviously she wouldnt sell it to like a ten yr old but was still wondering if its ok?

Heya guys,
just to answer all questions.
For Hetaliafangirl; Because we have underaged people at the convention we would kindly ask that everything you sell is not for over 18s' eyes. That doesn't necessarily mean everything has to be tight-lipped, fully clothed, Amish style, but there is a line we would like to keep under. : )
For Emilee; Artist Alley will not be open on a Friday, but Saturday and Sunday you can sell. If you so wish, you can just sell on either day, just please let me know when you're signing up. : )
