That is a lovely idea. It might be a touch troublesome as
A) You'd need a warm cosplay in order to bear the chill of the ice.
B) Not everyone knows how to skate. Last time I tried I was clinging to the side the whole time.
But it's definitely doable, and if I can figure out an outfit for it I'm in. I'll make a post about it on the Nom facebook page if you like ^_^

the trouble with cosplay ice skating (I was just discussing this with some friends yesterday lol) is that you can't have a cosplay where the legs are too long as if they are touching the ice it can get ruined by both the ice and the blades of the skates. and as Missie pointed out you do need the warm cosplay.
In relation to your group. I run the Dublin Cosplay events page and instead of you trying to start up a new group would you like to help me out with DCE and run your events from there? There are already about 80 odd followers so you'll have a nice base to start off with.

If you're going to do the ice skating I think the rooftop one on Arnotts sounds more fun that the one in the RDS
