Just as it says, what do you want to see at Nom-Con next year? Is there anything you'd like gone? Or improved? Should Uncle Nom pack his bags or should we donate the Maid Cafe to some starving children?
If you have an idea for a panel you'd like to run, send someone on the committee a pm and we can discuss the details.
Also, bear in mind that there will still be lulls in the day where very little happens because you'll need a break and so will our staff.

I already suggested the Make your own plushies class/workshop on another thread but this one seems more official and i wouldn't want you to forget about it ;D
Basically i'd like to see a workshop where we all get together and make our own adorable plushy it would make a great souvenir especially if we made one of nom cons mascots even if it was something as simple as MR Riceball.
This would probably need to be pre booked so you'd know how much material you'd need etc and probably should have an entrance fee plushy material aint free after all.
Another thing i'd like to see would be Manga art classes that would be beginners 2011 and progress upward in 2012 2013 etc i'm sure there would be a lot of interest in that.

I have a few anime plushie books I could lend to a plushie workshop as long as I get them back at the end of the weekend.
The only complaint I would have is that I constantly feared for my safety and personal space at the artists alley because of the live action baton workshop being situated right beside me, people started to crowd behind me and my table got bashed a couple of times, the guys running it were great and understanding but I never got any apologies or respect from other con goers who were pretty much standing on top of me on the sunday.
Could you maybe give those guys a bigger space or something next time? Or set a room aside for it were more people could have a good go at it, without the fear of hitting passers by up the face or damaging artist alley stuff?
Otherwise I was completely happy.

I am in agreement about the live action baton workshop, the guys running it were awesome, and i'd like to see it again next year but there was and always will be a few idiots that go up to it, get handed a weapon and start swinging it like their trying to hit a fly with a frying pan. More space for em of mabey shorter baton could tidy it a bit. Could there be a sword alternative of it too, it might cause more destruction but I said I'd throw the idea out there anyway

I dunno if you tried this year, but next year you should try and make a deal with some of the shops that sell Japanese food and snack so that someone could sell Pocky at the con. When N-C was over this year I realized I hadn't found Pocky there at all (not complaining of course). So if it's possible, try and get Pocky next year maybe (we need it for the Pocky Gaaaame!)? owo

More musical chairs fo' sho' Also, the hentai panel this year was awesome and hilarious and a great idea and all, but (I think someone mighta said this somewhere else already) it coulda been seen to better. I was having the craic and all with the rest of the audience and what everyone was talking about was really funny and stuff, but I left early cause after an hour and a half of the poor people running it having to talk over everything else, I got kinda tired of it. Also, maybe for the karaoke, a little more full length songs, and if possible could you guys make the song list available before the con? If not, 'tis grand

A reply to you all, one after another:
* A plushie workshop may be doable, once I get the person I have in mind to agree to hosting it. I'll keep you posted ^_^
* The manga progressive class is doubtful because we run the risk of leaving the new attendees behind. I'll see what I can do, maybe we could segment it into specialist areas.
* Emma, I didn't want to stick to just one night of dancing either, but it actually turned out to be a good thing for the staff. By Sunday I was half dead. We may just start the Cosplay Ball early and switch to the disco after a few hours.
* Security is something we'll be bumping up for sure next year. We weren't expecting to get the sheer numbers we got and for the most part attendees were well-behaved with a few exceptions. Next year we'll be working with more space so I'll mention your issue to the Trade Hall manager and the Artist's Alley manager.
* No swords. I only have one first aid kit, and sutures are as far as it goes.
* The Pocky seems to have slipped our minds altogether. Sorry! We'll remedy that next year.
* The hentai panel will be playing to a bigger room next year and we'll have microphones so we don't have to shout over people. Also, a quick warning; whether it's to your personal taste or not, we'll be discussing everything leading up to guro, including yaoi and yuri. If you don't like it, you don't have to be there.
* Full length songs are a no-go unfortunately. If everyone was to do a full-length song we'd only have time for a few people to sing in the time we have. There are a few full-lengths in the J-pop section though. Also, I've since worked out the bugs in the software I was given and now all the songs have lyrics.
Suggestions are great so far, keep 'em coming!

That reminds me... to the girl who handed me the box of chocolate pocky on the last day who had to leave and catch a train (I think she was dressed as Yuki Cross) Thank you! XD

Sorry Trina, if you can't provide us with photo I.D. verifying your over-eighteen status, then you can't be allowed in. No ifs, ands or buts. I even insisted on seeing I.D. from people I know who are over eighteen. We can't make exceptions for anyone, all it takes is one complaint to get the whole con shut down. You'll just have to be patient.
As for the raffle, I doubt it. That's a trader's prerogative, and I doubt they'll be up for it unless we raffle off the stuff we get early.

* The Pocky seems to have slipped our minds altogether. Sorry! We'll remedy that next year. I didn't even notice that there was no Pocky until the con was over, and I don't think that many other people noticed either (so no biggie really). But it'd be great if you could get it for next year, yeah. 83 - D.A.
