Ok so I think I can defiantly say every single person thinks that the first ever Nom-Con was mind-blowingly amazing~! In fact so amazing words can't even describe it!
But was there anything you noticed that you thought might be even more amazing if something was changed or done in a different way? to make it even more fantastical?!

Manga art workshops would be cool like two a day for the weekend a mini intro course of sorts and maybe build it up in level over the years they would go well with the other workshops like wig styling and cosplay workshops etc.
Perhaps even dedicate a room to that sort of thing with a pile of workshops and if you attend all of a particular type you get a Nom Con otaku degree in that area lol.
Basically just more and more varied workshops yeah
oh oh how about a plushie workshop where you pay in and get materials to make your very own plushie and over the weekend you get shown how to make a simple one that would be epic
AMV workshops another possibility i bet others will have even more suggestions perhaps you could gauge interest and get people to sign up on the forums beforehand so you know what ones to put on and how much materials you would need for stuff like the plushie one.
i would totally pay to get into a manga or plushie making workshop.
Nom Con the convention that gives you leet otaku skillz ;D

I agree with the above statements!
I don't know what happened, but I was waiting (along with aroud 30-ish people) for the wig-styling-panel.. It just didn't happen :T The same with the armour workshop... D: I was looking forward to those >_<
Maybey some more panels? :DDDDddd dee
But, apart from that, it was AWESOME.

Maybe have the skits on a while earlier, or on a different day? Late Sunday might just have been an awkward time for some people, though they were still a lot of fun ^-^

definitely agree about more panels and workshops...that wig styling one got delays due to the zenpop panel going over time. Had a great time but at times there was a bit of a lull. Agree that maybe things end lunch time sunday or just keep it to friday and sat. Most people have college, work etc monday morning so cant hang around too late especially if they have to travel any distance.

I have a suggestion actually. I'm not complaining about getting random DVDs or anything, but I have an idea for games tournament prizes. I can't speak for everyone, but I think it'd be great if the prizes were something relevant to the game in question, like a figure, or maybe a soundtrack. Maybe even a gift card for a gamestore. What does everyone else think?

What does everyone else think? well the thing about the gamestore card is that you might get cards for a store nowhere near the winner for example theres only a gamestop near me so if you got a GAME card it'd no good for me...not that i'd win anyway and it seems kinda cold like cash. The figures would be cool but they might be difficult to get for reasons like rarity or expense or non existence in the case of some games and at least with anime dvds you can be sure everyone would be happy with them since it's an anime con in the first place. So i think it's more a case of a safe bet rather than what nom com organizers thought would make a good prize.

Agree that maybe things end lunch time sunday or just keep it to friday and sat. Most people have college, work etc monday morning so cant hang around too late especially if they have to travel any distance. The panels running late or overtime or being severely delayed due to technical errors is something we hope to improve on every year, but there will always be a few problems; you just can't have a con without them. At the very least, I know to host events like the Murder Mystery in a much bigger room so I don't have to find space the next day to host it again. Plus, when you have a large amount of people at one event things are bound to run a little slow because we have to get them all inside and relaxing before we start the event. The lulls in the action were purposely planned to give people time to eat or get changed or just calm down for a bit. As for the late end on the Sunday, I don't think that'll change any time soon. We need the three days for all our events and for all the people that need to leave early because of work or school, there are also a lot of people that took the day off or are flying out the next day so that they could enjoy the full event. When I go to the UK for cons, I give my employers two month's notice, fly over on a Thursday and leave on a Monday because I don't want to miss anything. For next year, we might try to get the dates that doesn't leave the school-goers too exhausted to get up the next day and still doesn't clash with any other big cons or events. That's not easy, but we will try.

A giant glowstick penis like they had at Kitacon! I don't know what happened, but I was waiting (along with aroud 30-ish people) for the wig-styling-panel.. It just didn't happen :T The same with the armour workshop... D: I was looking forward to those >_< I thought the wig-styling panel went ahead despite the person who was supposed to be running it pulling out. I went to the armour workshop and they said they had a lot of materials put out but they went missing (its thought that the hotel cleaning staff might have thought the materials were rubbish and they threw them out)
