Absolutely great con

Hey everyone, very tired just woke up excited about nom-con and then realised its over
Havent posted on this forum in ages (blame the laptop)
Just wanted to say that this weekend has been one of the best conventions I've been to (there was a great and friendly atomosphere). It was great working as staff with you all and hope everybody enjoyed it as much as I did.

I had the same problem man! i woke up and i was like "yay nom con time! wait no its not...."

My problem waking up was more like "Oh %@$#! It's 0600! I'm late for my bus!"
However, despite that it was a fantastic con! Fair dues to the organiser, it was a spectacular first time running - especially the way the skits were run on Sunday. Eirtakon have some good competition to keep things interesting! =D

It really was a great Con and the thing that stood out the most for me was how relaxed the staff were. I've never come a cross a staff who took a stressful job and made it look like a breeze.

Some Examples that stood out

- I forgot my badge and instead of looking at me like I was some sort of suspicious evil person, Head Reg Lady kindly explained me the procedure of replacement and it was smooth and a friendly experience.

- The lady and the dudes running the Games room deserve 10/10. Being a huge Beat em Fan you had something for everyone there AND you let us use sticks . That in itself really was surprising and went down really well with everyone. The tournaments ran quite smoothly too!

Of course there is other stuff such as the open space to breath, the excellent selection of items on offer at the trade room and the handy location of the event in general.

I have some more detailed feedback, but I'll save that for a better time. These points were what made it awesome.

Based on what I saw this year, I wouldn't hesitate to come back next year as a volunteer. Sounds like it would be quite rewarding to work there

Second that 10/10 to the gaming room peoples, when my friend and I were using the dance machine, it started malfunctioning. They were kind enough to spend 20 minutes fixing it for us :>

Working as staff was amazing, I can't wait to do it again next year. The rest of the staff and everyone there were so friendly and nice. Having not known anyone before the con, I'm really happy i went, and staffed as I got to meet some lovely people.

On Friday for the short while I was in the game room, the DDR mats started being troublesome, and the people were so patient while myself and someone else tried to fix it for them. Actually, throughout the whole con everyone was so patient when things were running late or not working properly. Someone was even kind enough to bring little muffins for the staff, which was a really nice gesture.

i only ended up sleeping about 2 hours last night then got faced with travel hell when i got back up here to the north. 1 1/2 hours sitting in Newry then an extra 1 1/2 in Kilkeel casue the connecton got canceled (GRRRRRR dam local fish festival blocking the streets). but its not all bad at least i got some of the footage i took rendered and edited. though when i get to some of the stuff from last night i might have to use some sound fx or a beeper cause yeah i dont think its fgonna be that well received if i just stick it on the yt raw

Nom-con was amazing! I wish I talked to more people tho ^~^ I was so sad when I had to leave. Woke up the next morning, and had to drag myself out of bed for school T_T

I miss it so much. I had an absolute ball. the staff were so friendly. I can't wait to get backa nd hang withs ome of them at some point inteh future. Today I was so sad aftercheckout I couldn't leave the hotel until nearly half 2. I was chatting with staff and the committeee wish we'd had more time but I think Sinead, liz and soircha would have gone bat crazy if it had gone on any longer.
