WHAT IS NEMACON?

For a long time the North of the UK has lacked anime events in it. Short for North East Manga & Anime CONvention (NEMACON), will revolutionise that! NemaCon will be working to change the face of anime in the North forever! It will be an event of up to 1,000 people! The event is for ages 14 and up!

Venue: Middlesbrough Town Hall
Age: 14 and up!

Price for entry is just £15 for two days entry.

I'll be a gopher for this con, as will Missiechan so we'll definitely be there(duh). Moley(A gopher and stand-up comedian for Nom-con 2010) is one on the senior organisers, and he's a lovely chap so you know it'll be fun. It's their first year as a full on proper con, so show the love and support ]

I'd like to note that for anyone who read the original opening post that Nemacon is no longer affiliated with Anime League and are now purely an independent convention.


It would be great to get some of the Irish crowd over, this con needs just as much support as Nom-con does. The organisers are absolute dotes and so much hard work is going into this. I can't wait, it's going to be a right laugh XD

As a quick bump and reminder, we're currently in the process of getting an online ticket sales system up for the con, which all going well should be up by monday, and we're moving ahead rapidly with the planning.

Also myself, Khaotic Emporium, Missy Tera, Adam Steele and Harry Bently will all be performing at the Cosplay ball the night before the con, more details to follow.

Oh and if you don't come, I'll sneak into your houses and destroy everything you love.....just saying.

Nema is now offically standing as an independent convention so you can see how well we do flying solo.

There's a very good chance you'll get to see me have a nervous breakdown on stage, that's something not to be missed.

We have a cosplay ball with fantastic acts the night before.

and we should have online registration this evening at 6pm.
