Well there's that but they're also protecting the con from being sued. This is why we asked for photo I.D. at Nom-con's hentai panel and we'll ask for it again this year. I'm aware that there are people under 18 who look at hentai, but showing porn to minors is still illegal and the law is the law. Sad, but true. Also, muhself and Missiechan are going to Kita this year. We're planning a skit so please scream extra loud for us  |

Surely they'd be covered under the hotels insurance as they're renting areas etc? |

I think they might have to pay their own insurance, I don't think the hotel would be considered liable if an attendee was injured by equipment that was brought in by the ocn

Do, Kitacon is one of the best cons in the UK. It's very well organised, the staff are lovely, their events are fantastic, and everybody loves Scowny Also this is their first time changing location, and this year they will be at the Birmingham Hilton Metropolitan Hotel. I are excited  |
